Coalition to Shelter and Support the Homeless (CSSH) is an alliance of individuals and organizations assisting unsheltered adults in Central Bucks County. Our work is based in building trust. During the Code Blue season, guests are welcomed, offered a warm meal, and given the opportunity for fellowship and a good night's sleep. We work with our guests to make connections and build relationships that continue beyond that cold winter night. We are much more than Code Blue. Year round, we continue to support those in need through community meals and other outreach efforts - including securing needed identifications, providing gift cards for emergency meals, purchasing clothing for job interviews, offering financial support to access housing, and more. We help individuals make a plan to pursue housing, employment, mentally and physically healthier lifestyles, and generally fuller lives defined by safety and dignity.
The Code Blue Project and the work of CSSH is considered an essential service. This mission, delivered by our volunteers, must continue through the pandemic. CSSH is constantly monitoring COVID-19 guidance from the CDC and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and is working closely with the Bucks County Health Department to ensure safety precautions are in place - for our overnight guests and our volunteers.
Thank you for taking your time to get to know more about and support this important mission.
